Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Hummus is such a delicious snack! It goes well with crackers, vegetables, or tortilla chips. It is also pretty simple to make and there are so many varieties of flavors you can add when making your hummus. One of my favorite varieties of hummus is roasted red pepper! Here is a recipe that I have used.


  • 1 (15 oz) Can of Chickpeas

  • ½ cup Diced Roasted Red Peppers

  • 1 Clove of Garlic

  • 1 TBSP of Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil

  • ½ Tsp of Salt

  • ½ Tsp of Cumin

  • (Optional) Tahini


  1. First, drain and rinse the chickpeas.

  2. Next, add the chickpeas and all of the other ingredients except the olive oil into the food processor.

  3. Blend all of the ingredients in the food processor. As it is pulsing and blending, drizzle the olive oil slowly into the top of the food processor.

  4. Pulse and blend until the ingredients have turned into a smooth mixture.

  5. Place in the refrigerator to keep cool.

  6. Bring out your crackers or veggies and enjoy snacking away!
